Sesimbra, Portugal · an intimate health retreat

You’ve measured enough.
Time to build.

Six days of hard work and deep rest on the Arrábida coast. You fly home measurably stronger, rested to the bone, and guided until it holds.

Tracked everything.
Changed nothing.

Maybe you have the data, the podcasts and the bloodwork. Maybe you have none of it, just the first quiet signs that something needs to shift. Either way, you already know more than you act on. That’s not a knowledge gap. It’s the last mile of health, and it’s the only problem we solve.

“A 99% effective health protocol is 0% effective if you never do it. We make sure you do.”

Centred on you

Nothing here is off the shelf.

Your week is built from your own day-one numbers, and adjusted daily.

The idea

Energy is an account.

Most weeks you spend more than you deposit. The drift is the slow overdraft. Six days here reset the balance, and compounding starts working for you instead of against you.

The method

Six days, three steps.

01
Assessment

Assessment

Your baseline, measured on day one. Where you actually are, not where you think you are.

02
Protocol

Protocol

A programme built from your numbers. Nothing generic, nothing you cannot keep.

03
Implementation

Implementation

You do the work, with the five of us beside you. Measured again before you leave.

every session is placed where the sun, and your biology, want it. every effort is met with rest, because rest is where the body grows.

the four chapters of the residency. the first three take six days; the fourth begins with a month of guided return, included, and continues by membership.

One system

One system, not five opinions.

Your day-one assessment becomes one protocol: the right stressors at the right hours, met with the right rest, re-measured before you leave. Every hour of it is grounded in published science, and every evening it is adjusted to your numbers.

The method is what you come for. The five of us, your hosts and three specialists, are how it reaches you.

In their words

Bruno de Franclieu · guest, 40 to 49

I came in sceptical, expecting something soft. It was the opposite. For the first time, someone explained what my numbers actually meant, and made me act on them.

Megan Thomas

Megan Thomas · 40–49

I've done many retreats. This is the first where the tools actually came home with me. The letter to myself, on how I want to feel in the future, I didn't expect and won't forget.

Sonja H.

Sonja H. · 60+

I could feel my strength fading, and Hashimoto's makes every transition harder. The strength training and yoga were what stayed with me. I'd tell anyone: don't assume it's too late. It isn't.

Amy Lane

Amy Lane · 50–59

I came for the data: VO2max, grip strength, a real read on where I stood. What I didn't expect was the connection. I left calmer, clearer on my priorities, and finally moving my body regularly.

The room

Who will be there.

A retreat is the people in it. Yours are chosen as carefully as the protocol.

Lisa and Tom Wuerden

Your hosts

Lisa and Tom Wuerden built Atlas Cove and host every cohort themselves. You will know them by the first dinner.

“We host every week ourselves. That is the whole point.”

The three specialists

A chef, a yoga teacher and clinical psychologist, and a massage therapist, beside your hosts all week. The same faces throughout, close enough to know your name and your numbers.

Guests at the long table

The other guests

People with full lives and the same intention: to act, at last, on what they know. Every application is read for fit, so the table is good company by design.

Past cohorts have been small, varied, and quietly serious about the work.

Radically intimate by design. Five people hold the week: your two hosts and three specialists, with the quiet back-of-house team behind them.

Rest under the sky

The Return

The week ends.
The change doesn’t.

You fly home with your protocol, your numbers, and the team still on them for a month, included. Those who wish to continue are invited into the Atlas Cove Membership: the year-round house, with your team, your numbers and your return residencies in it.

An older wisdom

long before medicine had instruments, the day itself was the protocol.
Dawn to build, noon to digest, dusk to release, dark to repair.

chronobiology · the organ clock · dinacharya

the quinta keeps that older rhythm. six days inside it,
and your body remembers its own.

You will know it by the quiet things. Waking before the alarm, rested. The stairs that stopped asking. Energy left over at nine in the evening, for the people you love.
