The terrace of the quinta in the Serra da Arrábida where the longevity retreat takes place

Longevity retreat · Portugal

A longevity retreat in Portugal, measured from day one to day six

Six days on a private estate in the Serra da Arrábida, fifty minutes south of Lisbon airport. A full health baseline when you arrive, a daily rhythm of contrast therapy, movement and coaching, and the same tests again before you leave.

What a longevity retreat is

Not a spa week, not a clinic

A longevity retreat is a short, structured stay built around one question: what actually moves your health, and what will you keep doing at home? At Atlas Cove the week is built on measurement rather than treatments. You arrive, you are tested, you live a coached daily rhythm for six days, you are tested again, and you leave with a Personalised Health Toolbox written for your numbers.

It is not a wellness holiday with a spa menu, and it is not a medical programme. There is no physician on the team; we do not diagnose, practise clinical medicine or prescribe. Every guest answers a short health questionnaire when booking and completes a pre-arrival assessment before the residency.

How the Method works

Measuring a guest's baseline on day one of the longevity retreat

What happens over six days

The shape of the week

  1. The coast gate of the estate near Sesimbra, where every cohort arrives together01

    You arrive together

Every cohort arrives and leaves on the same days. The airport transfer from Lisbon is included, and the group is small by design: ten rooms.

  2. Day-one baseline testing at the longevity retreat02

    Day one: the baseline

Physical and psychological testing on the first day, so the week starts from your numbers rather than a general plan.

  3. The wood-fired sauna and cold plunge used for the daily contrast session03

    A coached daily rhythm

Daily contrast therapy in the wood-fired sauna and cold plunge, group movement, and 1-on-1 coaching sessions, all following the Master Circadian Protocol.

  4. The yoga shala where the knowledge sessions take place04

    Knowledge you can use

Short sessions on sleep, strength, midlife changes and recovery, led by the founders and the on-site team, with time to ask what applies to you.

  5. Repeating the physical tests on day six05

Day six: the same tests again

The baseline is repeated before you leave, so the week ends with a measured before and after rather than a feeling.

  6. The Personalised Health Toolbox a guest takes home06

The Toolbox for life at home

You leave with a Personalised Health Toolbox built from your results. The optional 4-Week Integration Programme continues the coaching after the residency.

Who it is for

Built for people who would rather measure than guess

Our guests are 30 to 65, most of them with demanding jobs and limited time to train. They have read enough about longevity and want to know what applies to their own body, with a baseline to compare against next year.

It is a group of ten rooms, hosted in person by the two co-founders, and places are by application only. If you are looking for a passive spa stay or for medical treatment, this is not the right week.

Is this you?

I came in sceptical, expecting something soft. It was the opposite. For the first time, someone explained what my numbers actually meant, and made me act on them.

Questions

Before you apply

How is a longevity retreat different from a wellness retreat in Portugal?

A wellness retreat sells rest and treatments. A longevity retreat at Atlas Cove is built around measurement: the same physical and psychological tests on day one and day six, a coached daily rhythm in between, and a Personalised Health Toolbox to take home. The estate is quiet and the food is good, but the point of the week is the before and after.

Do I need to be fit to join?

No. The daily movement is group-based and scaled to the person, and the testing is a baseline, not an exam. Every guest answers a short health questionnaire when booking and completes a pre-arrival assessment, so we know what to adapt before you arrive.

Is there a doctor on site?

No. Atlas Cove has no physician on the team and does not diagnose, practise clinical medicine or prescribe. Where a clinical need comes up, we connect you with trusted medical specialists. Optional IV drips and bloodwork are offered through a clinical partner.

How do I get there from Lisbon?

Fly to Lisbon. The airport transfer to the estate is included and takes roughly fifty minutes. The cohort arrives and leaves on the same days, so the transfer runs as a group.

Can I come on my own?

Most guests do. A cohort is ten rooms, hosted by the two co-founders, and you choose a private room or a shared twin when you apply. Two guests travelling together can book as companions.

Hosted in person

Two co-founders, one small team, every session

Lisa and Tom host every cohort themselves, from the first morning to the last, with the on-site team beside them. Ten rooms, so that every guest gets real attention.
